Welcome to our Performing Arts Unfortunately, we are experiencing this as a whole for all sorts of products around the country, so I'm sure it's not surprising, but we still are sad to break the news. Therefore, the 50lb bags will be purchased at $17 per bag. I would encourage all local fundraisers (we have some further away that could sell higher due to gas and that Idaho potatoes aren't readily available in their areas, like St. George) to sell at $27 per bag so the child/student will continue to make the profit of $10 per bag sold. -Freshly dug and will still have some dirt on them in the bags (leave the dirt on, they will stay fresh longer. If you remove them all from the bag and wash them before storing them, they will go bad faster. -Farmers let us know when harvest begins, and its always dependent on weather. It's very common they get rain in Sept so sometimes this slows down due to mud and not being able to harvest in the mud. -Because they are so fresh, they are GOOD until spring (even summer). They will last longer if in cold storage, cold basement, etc. It's very common that store potatoes are from a potato cellar from the harvest the year previous. By Spring and Summer you'll start getting shoots on the potatoes. This doesn't mean they are bad, they are just searching for sunshine to continue to sprout leaves and grow more. -Delivery time is always, every year, an estimate and we have to have our fundraisers be FLEXIBLE. We've never had an issue with this. Delivery is typically mid to end Sept (usually on a weekend), sometimes it goes into the beginning of Oct, though this has been rare. We will keep you informed as soon as we get information from the farmers.
